It looks obvious

I was sure that the Iranian attack on the Romanian oil rig on Aug’ 22^nd will make all the front pages. It seems to me that this attack a declarative motive that is far beyond the commercial dispute. If it were not enough that the Iranian choose to use military force to resolve commercial dispute they did it on the same day they were suppose to answer the UN security council’s proposals/ultimatum.

While it is correct to asses that if the west will have to actually fight with Iran it will most likely win, such war isn’t desirable. The fact that the Iranian are willing to believe that armed conflict is in their best interest, or at least that the threat of using force serving the Iranian interest is very dangerous.

However the western media largely ignored this event and didn’t really followed up, or tried to analyze it. I still wonder why.
