Scalability Problems?

It seems like lately many web 2.0 companies start facing technical problem resulting in inefficient service. While rushing to release new products these companies didn’t invest in scalability and proper facility. The question is how often are we going to see the apologizing plumber, and how patient are we going to be with infrequent services.
