I took the car to the repair shop and while the guy was fixing the car we engaged in a conversation. His two sons served as marines in Iraq, and are now back at home. He told me that he is against the war, he didn’t understand why his sons had to risk their live [...]
I always had the impression that the only things you can find in Idaho are potatoes, and a Potato Commission, But I was wrong. Apparently Idaho has also a strong core of individual liberty and it demonstrated it in yesterday’s Primaries.
I know that it doesn’t mean anything for these elections. And I also know that [...]
Here is another, very compelling, explanation for my question from yesterday:
Look at the blogs. This just amazes me. These people know the issues better than the journalists covering the campaign. While the journalist are fixated on the presidential horse race the Ron Paul masses are chewing on why the government does what it [...]
The big story from yesterday’s Primaries voting in PA is obviously Clinton’s victory. However I was looking with interest at the GOP Primaries’ results. It was expected that Ron Paul’s percentage will be higher, due to less general interest among GOP voters, and therefore the 16% were not surprising. What is surprising, however, is that [...]
Sometimes history is being written by the losers….
The political game is usually decided by those who participate, and when Libertarian start participating seriously they will start effecting. Participating will involve also compromising, but this is not always a bad thing.
The NY Times story about McCain was the main story today, in US news channels. It is somewhat frustrating that the news here don’t really deal with the questions arise from Kosovo independence or from the controversy around shooting down the US satellite. But the news of the day were less McCain rather than the [...]
Being sick and than extremely busy I didn’t have much time to write here lately. But this breaking story by the NY Times is the perfect reason to break silence.
I guess that the NY Times made a mistake breaking the story before McCain’s nomination was sealed. I can only assume that if the story will [...]
My wife just sent me the detailed results of the primaries in NY. Apparently canvassing had its results:
1. Ron Paul total NY was approximately 7%
2. Ron Paul Results in our Township (Clarkstown) - 5.9%
3. Ron Paul Results in our Precinct (022) - 15.9%!
It is nice to know that the efforts had some results.
While Senator McCain is busy convincing GOP voters that he is true conservative, a term that need clarification to begin with, I stumble upon a news report that demonstrates McCain’s conservative credentials. Apparently Senator McCain, in his roll of senior good doer, was successful in forming a new federal agency - this time to regulate [...]
Canvassing in NY is completely different experience than canvassing in NH. It was still worth while doing, not because it will change anything for this elections, Ron Paul isn’t going to win them. It was worth doing because it is another, one of many more to come, opportunity to offer an option to the dependency [...]
