Hysterical measures

Comments

I’m not a security expert but the Idea of the new security measures becoming permanent seems counter productive. Preventing travelers from having laptops, bottle of water and other typical carry on items is acceptable as a short and temporary measure, when security agencies has relevant information of possible terrorist. However it is unacceptable as permanent policy.

The terrorist goal to spread fear is best serve when after one "shoe bomber" airport security check everybody shoes, including 9 months pregnant women (my wife can tell you some stories about this!) . The terrorist cause is best serve when Fred cannot work during his business trips because we implement draconian security rules.

When air travel become hell can we claim that we are are winning the war on terror? When we limits one liberties permanently did we really won?
