TXU to Try BPL

Comments

I’m following for awhile now after news regarding BPL , I also mentioned it in previous post . Therefore today’s news that TXU Electric Delivery intends to roll out broadband internet services using BPL in Texas is exciting.

It will make the competition Telco - Cables into something much more interesting. The fact that Google invested in Current make this story much more interesting.

God, I hope the FCC will not disturb…

"TXU Electrix Delivery has signed a 10-year contract, worth $150 million, with Current. Current will develop a so-called smart grid that, in addition to triple-play services, will provide information about electrical performance, such as outages. The system eventually will support automatic meter reading as well."
