Joking aside - I never understood the demand of religious leaders to teach religious dogma as a scientific theory. The fact is that the risk for the dogma is much higher when it requires to stand a scientific scrutiny. Separating the two, Science and Religion, protect both from each other methods. It is very much like the increasing involvement of religious leader in American politic that invited political involvement and influence on religious affairs. What those who advocate for teaching the so called scientific theory, creationism, in science classes - instead of social classes - is that they aren’t protecting their believes rather than making it a caricature.
