The MTA Strike

Comments

I was able to make it to the office today but I’m still struggling with the question how will I get to visit Anna and Ronie in the hospital, and more importantly how will I bring them home tomorrow.

This strike is unjustified, the union presented demands that are based on its power to blackmail the city and that is what they are doing. Many New-Yorkers and People that commute to NY every day are enraged by this strike. Jeff Jarvis, as always, express our feeling very eloquently

"The union broke the law this morning, costing New Yorkers their own pay and businesses their business and the city its tax resources so that its members could keep pensions that most Americans don’t have and retire sooner than most Americans could dream of doing and keep inefficient jobs for which there is no need.

Thank you for not riding the New York City subway. Have a rotten day."

It is time for the MTA to become private company and to live or die by the level of service they provide.
