The Jacques you didn’t know
As hard as it is to believe I completely agree with Jacques Chirac’s statement:
President Jacques Chirac said in an interview that an Iran that possessed one or two nuclear weapons would not pose much of a danger, adding that if Iran were ever to launch a nuclear weapon against a country like Israel, it would lead to the immediate destruction of Tehran.
He, obviously, backed of from this statement later. However the essence of French realpolitik making perfect sense. And since I believe the statement represent the real approach of Chirac it will be interesting what will be the policy changes to follow.
