Politic sometimes makes interesting matching, and yesterday’s endorsement of Giuliani by Robertson is by far a very interesting one. Obviously most of the reports about this new honeymoon between the evangelical leader and Giuliani focused on the point that Robertson was willing to put aside his distaste from Giuliani’s social agenda as long as he promised to bomb Muslims in hieger rate than Bush does.  The report also pointed on the potential gains for Guiliani’s effort to win the GOP nomination as the party candidate for the 2008 Presidential election by overcoming the natural suspicion of the religious right.

But I would like to point to some other point, that demonstrate how wired is politic.

Do you remember Giuliani’s astonishment when Ron Paul suggested that the 9/11 attack was a blowback of US foreign policy?  It was quite a moment in the debate when Giuliani got offended by Ron Paul’s argument.

Robertson’s theory, of the cause of 9/11, didn’t bother him at all when he needed his endorsement. I have a strange feeling that Giuliani is not going to reject Pat Robertson’s endorsement, despite the fact that he suggested that the 9/11 attack was the wrath of God for the evil of the secular society…
