Although the chances are very low  - we will follow, with great hopes, this candidate:

The news is good — for once. Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), the libertarian congressman whose dedication to principle is one of the wonders of the world, is running for the GOP presidential nomination

I don't think that Libertarians electability is only because of tactic - although it is definitely part of it. As sad as it is the Ideas of small government and liberty aren't as popular as I might want them to be.

You know, I met a few Libertarians this past election year, notably the nice guy who was running for Governor James Werner and Robert Howard (who co-started Independent Texans) and Michael Badnarik. And of course Alex Jones who's not running for anything but that's an aside. The Libertarians are a passionate lot I found, but I think there is something wrong with their strategy for getting elected. They seem to always have someone running whether it is a viable run or not (which it mostly doesn't seem to be). I honestly believe they need to change strategy and work with Independents in order to get good people (and I am not necessarily talking about Independents but it could be from either side) elected who could then proceed to be effective in effecting the changes both Independents and Libertarians want..
what is your take on it?
