It looks obvious

Lets make it clear

without comments

A comment on previous post made it clear that I might need to do some clarifications. I wrote in the past about issues like Trans-fat, smoking, global warming and other unhealthy activities. I also sited opinions that question the absolute truth scientists sometimes present when opposing such activities, and the motives of some of the people who advocate for more government’s control. This led to confusion by certain readers assuming that I’m questioning the risk level of these activities.

The question of how risky these activities is completely irrelevant, in the context of government involvement, and for the sake of the argument I’m willing to assume that they are as risky and unhealthy as it claimed. I simply argue that regardless to how risky these activities are, the government shouldn’t attempt to regulate them, or worse to prevent them. It is not only immoral, it is also complete waste of time.

Now that this point is, hopefully, clear - can we debate it and not waste time trying to prove how risky secondhand smoking is?
