wait, is this the same Kareem last year who got detained? goes to show I’ve had too much going on and did not pay close enough attention.. I know last year some other (or the same??) Egyptian bloggers got detained and ’someone’ (since I don’t remember anymore) got released later on.. However, considering the state of affairs in Egypt, there will always be a blogger detained as long as people speak up. They (egyptian bloggers) sure are courageous,
    happy trails Rogel,

Freedom of Speech

Kareem is an Egyptian blogger that was sentenced for 4 years in jail because his advocacy for human rights. On November 9th, the Free Kareem organization coordinating world wide rallies, pleading the Egyptian government to release him. I will not be able to participate in the NY rally, as I will be on my way to Israel, but the least I can do is spread the word.

More details, and rally information, should be published here.
