Traffic Analysis Services

Comments

When I just started I was sure that nobody will actually visit this blog, I called it “singing in the bath”. But as I become aware of the fact that the blog being actually visited I become interested in seeing the actual traffic information.

I added Google analytics tracking to the blog as soon as service was available and I was, and still am, impressed with the richness of information. But in a way it is overkill for my little blog. I was waiting for MeasureMap to open their gate; it seems like a big promise for the blog owners. But few months pass since I submitted my e-mail to the merci of their database and I got no acknowledgment that they have me as future user in mind. I guess the hope for rich and glory worked better without actual customers.

But then I found Blogbeat and it was love from first sight. The information build to suit me, the blog owner: I can follow trend, visitors and posts. I can tag visitors and see when they return which post interest them and which one they skipped. Its make you wonder about the reader in Santa Clara, CA or Ramat Hasharon, Israel and many others. I’m not only singing in the bath now.

But there is more into Blogbeat that I like – the attitude. I love the service - the constant improvements, the responsiveness to problems and the real listening to comments. Maybe when MeasureMap will finally open its gates they will have killer user interface full of features and Ajax coolness, but they will never have the soul of Blogbeat.
